Our Story
We met at a dumpy chinese restaurant, after chatting for some time online, and felt an immediate connection. The food was surprising good! And I remember specifically telling Monse that she felt like someone I had known for years, someone I could be best friends with.
Since that evening, our story has unfolded across borders and landscapes. We’ve traveled to fifteen countries together, built a life across seven different homes here in Costa Rica, and adopted two little dogs who now rule our hearts (and our couch).
Together, we’ve grown not just as a couple, but as dreamers and builders. From small DIY furniture projects and afternoons in the garden to full-fledged buildings and homes, we’ve discovered that we work, live, and love best when we’re building something side by side.
This wedding is not just a celebration of love. It is a continuation of the journey we began that night in San José, in a restaurant with sticky tables and really good dumplings, where two people found in each other something both new and wonderfully familiar.

Getting to Costa Rica
Book your flights to Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), just outside San José. You can often find direct flights with major airlines like Delta, American, United, JetBlue, and Avianca. Before booking, please double-check that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates.
Getting to the Wedding
Getting to the wedding is easy. We’ll have a shuttle leaving from Heredia—where Monse and Chris live—on both Thursday and Friday. Once you RSVP for the event, you can notify us if you need a direct transfer from the airport (SJO) to the venue.
